KING: What do you make emotionally as a black man about the Obama/Clinton race?

SNOOP DOGG: To me, I feel like they both are candidates because they both have strong situations to support them. As far as Clinton, her husband was in office and when he was in office, we had a great time and she was his backbone. Anybody knows that every strong man needs a woman to be his backbone. So she basically probably was the mind and soul behind him being the president.

KING: You’re not supporting either one?

SNOOP DOGG: I’m not down with the Republican Party or the Democratic Party. I represent the gangsta’ party.

KING: The gangsta party?

SNOOP DOGG: Yes, sir.

KING: I mean are you — Snoop, are you still basically a gangster at heart?

SNOOP DOGG: It’s just a figure of speech (INAUDIBLE). But I like using that word.

KING: Was it G-A-N-G-S-T-E-R or G-A-N-G-S-T-A?

SNOOP DOGG: Say it, Larry. Say it like you mean it.

KING: Gangsta’.

SNOOP DOGG: Say it like you mean it, Larry.

(LAUGHTER)

KING: Gangsta!

SNOOP DOGG: Yes, sir.

KING: Don’t you emotionally, though, have some — a tie to Barack Obama?

SNOOP DOGG: I do. I do, because I am a black man in America and I know that he relates to everything that I’m going through. But, you know, politically correct — I just want to see somebody win that’s in the best interests of America, whether it be him — a black man; whether it be Hillary — a woman. Either one, to me, is a great move for America, because we need change. We need somebody in there that’s going to be about listening to the people and representing the people. And I feel like both of those candidates will do that.

KING: Do you think America’s really ready for a black president?

You see prejudice all the time.

SNOOP DOGG: All the time. I think America is ready for a black president by him winning, you know, like he’s winning so far and even competing to be in the talks right now. You know, I remember in the past where we had presidential candidates like Jesse Jackson. And it was a gimmick. It was like a joke because nobody really believed Jesse could win. You know, win Jesse win — but we didn’t really think he could win. Right now, people really feel like this man could really win and he’s got the right thing going for him. He’s got the right conversation. He’s in line with the right, you know, with the right scenario to win. And, you know, whether he wins or loses, I feel like he — he made a great step for black America by him stepping to the table and pulling off something like this.

Dancejam.com a Mc Hammer project: MC Hammer hasn’t topped the music charts since the early 1990s, but the former rap star says he has another hit in him — only this time around he’ll produce it as a Silicon Valley entrepreneur. Hammer, whose real name is Stanley Burrell, is choreographing a new career as co-founder and chief strategy officer of Menlo Park-based DanceJam.com
The Web site, scheduled to debut in mid-January, will try to upstage YouTube and become the Internet’s hub for sharing and watching dance videos. DanceJam then hopes to make money by grabbing a piece of the rapidly growing Internet advertising market, which is expected to rake in $27.5 billion in 2008, according to eMarketer.

If the business pans out, DanceJam could help Hammer compensate for losing his fortune when he went bankrupt in 1996 with nearly $14 million in debts.

Kanye West’s mother, Dr. Dondra West passed away. Since then, the mainstream media has been speculating as to what could have caused her untimely passing.MediaTakeOut.com, the world’s most visited Black website, managed to get an EXCLUSIVE interview with one of Dondra’s family members. And according to that person, Kanye’s mother died of complications that arose while getting a tummy tuck and breast implants.

The family member, who was distraught by the incident, told MediaTakeOut.com, “It really was a tragedy. [Dondra] went in to have the procedures, and she never made it out.” The insider continues, “I’m not sure if it was the anesthesia or what, but she never made it out of the operating room alive.”

It’s not clear, however, that the physicians or the hospital involved in the procedures are at fault. Nor is it clear that Dondra’s passing was a direct result of anything done during the surgery

October 16, 2007. (AP) The south Georgia home of televangelist Juanita Bynum will be auctioned off next month unless she pays nearly $39,000 in back taxes, interests and penalties.

Ware County Tax Commissioner Steve Barnard told The Florida Times Union that the home which is owned by Juanita Bynum Ministries Incorporated has been advertised among the homes that will be up for sale at the county courthouse on November 6th.

Asked why the house is set to be auctioned, Barnard said “Because she hasn’t paid the 2006 taxes on it.”

Barnard says the property tax bill on the house is $32,007 and 56 cents and Bynum must also pay more than $6,944 in interest, penalties and costs.

Barnard said he was contacted by someone from Bynum’s Waycross office and asked how to resolve the matter. The caller agreed to pay $25,000 on the tax bill and the remainder before the tax sale. Barnard said “but so far we’ve gotten only $5,000.”

According to tax records, the 6,748-square-foot house sits on more than 23 acres. Because Bynum does not live there, the house does not qualify for homestead exemption. Her Waycross-based ministry bought the house August 18th, 2006.

Bynum made headlines in August when she accused her husband, Thomas W. Weeks the Third, of beating her in the parking lot of an Atlanta hotel. She has since filed for divorce from Weeks, who is known to his followers as Bishop Weeks.

Weeks has pleaded not guilty to charges of aggravated assault and making terroristic threats. He is free on $40,000 bond and is not allowed to have contact with Bynum.

Forty-eight-year-old Bynum is head of a ministry that also includes a gospel record label and seminar tours. She has sold thousands of motivational books, CDs and DVDs related to empowerment and relationships.

Forty-year-old Weeks is head of Global Destiny Ministries, based in the Atlanta suburb of Duluth
